Cisco Certified Network Associate -> CCNA
Certification
With no "prerequisites" the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is the entry level cert offered by networking giant, Cisco Systems. If you are an IT professional or computer networking guru looking to expand their knowledge and pad their resume, the CCNA certification is a great place to start. CCNA indicates a foundation in and apprentice knowledge of networking and that certified professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists.
For IT pros who are not 100% up to speed here, you may want to look into a Cisco CCDA certification for a foundation level understanding and training in network design and the Cisco Internetwork Infrastructure.
